# Governance proposal voting

## Proposing

[Moxyans](/moxy-tokenomics/the-moxy-ecosystem/moxyan.md) must hold 100,000 MGR to initiate a new governance proposal and push it to the voting stage.

## Voting

Every registered user will have 1 vote by default as a minimum. If the Moxyan holds MGR, every MGR will represent 1 extra vote.

Passing a governance proposal requires 66% of the votes on “yes”. All voting will take place inside of the Moxy Club.

This will encourage active Moxy Club members to utilize their $MOXY tokens to be locked in MGR in order to participate in important governance decisions that will impact the Moxy Ecosystem, and be rewarded for their participation in these decisions.
